Yeast-Free Diet and Autism

The yeast-free diet is a type of exclusion diet which requires you to avoid all sources of yeast.

Some people believe that that a form of yeast called candida albicans may cause autism. It may also exacerbate some behaviour and health problems in people with autism.

They believe that a yeast-free diet, alongside treatments to remove existing yeast concentrations in the body, can help resolve some of these problems.

More Information

We have been unable to identify any scientific studies or trials of yeast-free diets for people on the autism spectrum.
