Mirtazapine is a type of SSRI antidepressant used to treat the symptoms of moderate to severe depression.

It is sold under various brand names including Remeron and Zispin.

Mirtazapine is sometimes used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have mental health problems. It may also be used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or social deficits.
