Suramin

Suramin is an antiprotozoal drug used to treat treat African sleeping sickness and river blindness.

Protozoa are animal-like, one-celled creatures, such as amoebas. Some are parasites that cause infections in the body.

Some people believe that suramin can be used to treat the core features of autism.
