Introduction

Robota dolls A robot is a mechanical device that sometimes resembles a human and is capable of performing a variety of often complex human tasks on command or by being programmed in advance.

Some people believe that robots can be used to help people with autism spectrum disorders, for example, by teaching them how to undertake simple tasks.

Opinion

We are currently reviewing the literature on the use of robots to help people with autism.

So far we have identified three clinical trials of this intervention published in peer-reviewed journals.
