Employment is often defined as the state of having paid work.

Many people on the autism spectrum find it difficult to find or keep paid work.

However there are a number of interventions, such as supported employment schemes, that are designed to help people on the autism spectrum find, get and keep a job.

There are also some interventions which are designed to enable people on the autism spectrum to improve their workplace experience and enhance their careers.
