You can help to raise funds for Research Autism in a variety of ways that will challenge your body and your spirit.
Our supporters run marathons, hike to the top of mountains, cycle from one end of the the country to another, and swim in tropical seas.
If you are competing in a challenge event and you wish to raise money for us, please email info@researchautism.net to let us know.

For four years, the Edinburgh Marathon has been the backbone of Research Autism’s fundraising.
Individual marathon runners and teams of four relay runners have given their time, energy and fundraising skills to enable us to commission and support crucial breakthrough research into autism treatments.
Please join us on Sunday 31st May and help to make the 2009 Edinburgh Marathon an even greater success.

Kristen Lindop-Taylor, our Trusts Fundraising Manager, hiked up and down Ben Nevis in a single day to raise money for us.
Kristen said, ‘It was a very demanding experience, but I also had a really wonderful time. One of the most exciting things was to find that there was still snow at the top.’

Richard Pink, and his friend John, rode from the Rhodes Arts Complex in Bishops Stortford to Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford upon Avon, in one day to raise money for us.
Richard said that the cycling time was 8.5 hours – ‘not bad for a couple of oldies.’
John said, ‘It was a huge challenge, hugely satisfying but, more than anything else, huge fun, all day and all the way’.

David Smith, who has a daughter with autism, successfully completed the 2 km Bondi Roughwater Ocean Swim in Sydney to raise funds for us.
David said ‘After a little research it was clear where those funds should be directed – Research Autism, the only charity focused exclusively on building a solid research base to document interventions for autism.’
A special thank you goes to David’s employer, Barclays, who donated a generous £750 towards the total. Research Autism’s heartfelt thanks goes out to David for such a great fundraising effort.
