UK and Irish Societies
- Autism Cymru Welsh charity which aims to make a real difference to the provision and delivery of services for people with autistic spectrum disorders in Wales
- Autism NI – PAPA Northern Irish not-for-profit organisation which provides a range of services to people with autism.
- autistics.org Organisation run by people with autism, which describes itself as the real voice of autism. Highly critical of organisations not run by people with autism.
- Irish Society for Autism Irish charity which provides a range of services for people with autism.
- National Autistic Society UK charity which exists to champion the rights and interests of all people with autism and to ensure that they and their families receive quality services appropriate to their needs
- Research Autism The only UK charity exclusively dedicated to research into interventions in autism.
- Scottish Society for Autism Scottish charity which provides services, influences policy and practice, and raises public awareness about autistic spectrum disorders.
Autism Services Directory
The Autism Services Directory, run by the National Autistic Society, is an online directory which provides details about diagnostic services, schools, support groups, training courses, residential and day services and much more within the UK. Link
