RedAid Concert
On July 6th 2006, Research Autism’s first benefit concert, RedAid, took place at Turnmills in Farringdon, London.
It was organised by Redleaf Communications to complement their fundraising efforts at the Edinburgh Marathon.
It involved a constellation of musical talent, all pledged to raising awareness and funds for Research Autism.
The bill featured:
- the amazing Ed Koerber, a fast-rising Classical/Flamenco guitar talent
- The Sunshine Law, an exciting local indie band featuring Redleaf Communication’s very own Duncan McCormick on lead vocals and rhythm guitar
- The Needles, all the way from Glasgow, performing a set of “angular rock” from their forthcoming Album “In Search of the Needles”
- the “new blues” of Sevenball, including Redleaf’s Andrew Dunn on slide-guitar
As well as providing the audience with a special night of entertainment, the event helped raise awareness of Research Autism’s work, and raised over £1000 for the charity.
