Find possible solutions for specific autism issues
There are many, many interventions – treatments, therapies and services – used to help people with autistic spectrum disorders.
However there are no interventions that can cure autism. And there are very few which actually produce substantial, long-term benefits.
Many interventions are time consuming or expensive or both. And some may even be harmful.
So it is important that people with autism, their carers, health care providers and others know something about each intervention and whether or not it has been scientifically proven to be effective.
This section of the website provides information about a wide range of interventions, including what they are, what they are supposed to achieve and whether there is any supporting scientific evidence behind them.
You can also complete a questionnaire which has been designed to tell us how easy it is to find high quality information about autism interventions.
