The resources of Research Autism are currently fully committed to supporting our existing priority projects including projects related to sleep, employment, behaviour, mentoring and other interventions. We are therefore unable to consider new applications for funding at this current time.
We will be outlining our new priority projects and requesting expressions later in 2012.
Research Autism was set up with the principle intention of funding research into interventions in autism. Our income is derived from a number of sources including grants and donations from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, and companies; fundraising from events; and donations from individuals.
Our intention is to move to a position whereby we will have available a significant pool of funding from which to support applications for research. Until such a fund is established, we will be actively fundraising from the sources mentioned for those projects which we have reviewed and agreed to support. Therefore, it is likely that there may be some time lag between a project becoming approved and funding to implement it being made available.
